Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has posted a rise of 48.68 per cent in its net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2009 at Rs 474.07 crore compared with Rs 318.85 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company's income from operations rose to Rs 1653.2 crore from Rs 1233.77 crore last year, up 34 per cent.

Sintex Industries net falls 11.33% for Dec`09 qtr
Sintex Industries reported a sharp drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ended
December 2009. During the quarter, the profit of the company declined 11.33% to Rs
559.04 million from Rs 630.46 million in the same quarter last year.
Net sales for the quarter for the quarter rose marginally 2.93% to Rs 5,206.00 million,
while total income for the quarter rose marginally 2.90% to Rs 5,466.85 million, when
compared with the prior year period.

Bajaj Holdings Q3 consolidated net climbs 4.43 times
Bajaj Holdings & Investments announced a rise of 4.43 times in its consolidated net
profit for quarter ended Dec. 31, 2009. During the quarter, the group has posted a net
profit of Rs 2,621.70 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2009 as compared to Rs
591.40 million for the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2008.
Consolidated, total income of the company was at Rs 1,330.80 million, a rise of
89.09% over the prior year period.
On a standalone basis, the net profit of the company was at Rs Rs 1,149 million, a
surge of 14.32 times over the prior year period.
